TranslatePTFE Trimmers
PTFE Trimmers (variable capacitors) are adjustable capacitors that use PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) as the dielectric material between their plates. PTFE is commonly known by the brand name Teflon. These capacitors are widely used in RF, microwave, and precision electronics because PTFE combines very low electrical losses with excellent environmental stability.
PTFE capacitors maintain High-Q (quality factor) even at VHF and microwave frequencies.
PTFE variable capacitors are used where low loss and stability are critical such as, antenna tuners, RF matching networks, transmitters, receivers, radar systems, and satellite communications.
